I am a seasoned piano teacher with over 25 years of experience and a Music Degree from the University at Buffalo. In addition to offering private lessons at my home studio, I have taught large group piano classes for Centerville Schools during the summer for several years. I also have 20 years of experience as a retired urban Regular Education school teacher and have been a homeschool mom, educator, and advocate for the past 12 years.
My passion lies in empowering those around me to achieve success in life. My mission is focused on positive empowerment and teaching, rather than merely performing. One of the greatest joys of my career has been witnessing students of all ages and skill levels thrive in both learning and performing piano, while excelling in life.
Life Long Learning
I have had the privilege of teaching piano lessons to students ranging from 4 years old to adulthood, each with unique learning styles and skill levels. I have worked with a diverse range of students, including those with special needs, and have found these experiences to be truly rewarding. Regardless of a student's background, each lesson is thoughtfully tailored to meet individual needs, utilizing differentiated instruction through kinesthetic, visual, auditory, and other learning modalities to ensure success.

As a seasoned piano teacher and regular education educator, I have been fortunate to witness many of my students achieve success in various ways. Through my piano lessons, I have seen students not only learn multiple instruments, but also build a strong foundation that has supported their musical growth. Some have pursued professional careers, while others have deepened their personal enjoyment of the piano or ventured into other areas of the arts. It has been incredibly rewarding to see their continued growth and passion for music and the arts.

Throughout school I played a number of instruments. Now that I am out of school I wanted to keep working on my music. I found Drop The Mic LLC to teach me piano which I never played before and have found the teaching style to be very effective. I always look forward to coming to piano lessons!

My teacher always comes up with new ways to explain things to me when I do not understand. She tells me a lot of stories to help me remember and creates little games as well! She is so fun!
