I am a Veteran Piano Teacher of 16 years with a Music Degree from University at Buffalo. Not only have I taught lessons at my home studio but I have also taught large group piano lessons for the Centerville Enrichment Program for many summers! I am also a retired urban Regular Education school teacher of 17 years. My passion is empowering others around me to help them be successful in life. My mission is not only positive empowerment of others but teaching rather than performing. A great joy in my life has been seeing students of all ages and skill levels succeed in learning and performing piano and excelling in life.

I have had the wonderful opportunity to teach piano lessons to students ranging from 4 years old through adulthood. Everyone has come to me with different learning styles and skill levels. Some of my students have been special needs and have been a joy to work with. Regardless, each student has a tailored, differentiated lesson so they are successful through kinesthetic, visual, auditory, and other modes of learning.

As a Veteran Piano Teacher and Regular Education Teacher, I have been so blessed to see many students I have taught be successful in one way or another. Through teaching piano lessons, I have seen students go on to learn many instruments through the knowledge base I have given. Some students moved on professionally, while others have expanded their joy of the piano for themselves or continued on in other areas of the Arts.

Throughout school I played a number of instruments. Now that I am out of school I wanted to keep working on my music. I found Drop The Mic LLC to teach me piano which I never played before and have found the teaching style to be very effective. I always look forward to coming to piano lessons!

My teacher always comes up with new ways to explain things to me when I do not understand. She tells me a lot of stories to help me remember and creates little games as well! She is so fun!

I learned that there are patterns on the piano. I also learned how to create patterns in school easily because of my teacher. She says I am learning the piano very fast! I love her!
